Hi,
I've recently got a macmini to use as a media centre. I've just setup screen sharing and opened up port 5900 on my router, but when i connect via my macbook using the built in vnc viewer (command + k in finder) it seems very slow to use over the internet. My internet connection is fast inbound and outbound at both ends, and I've just replaced a windows7 machine with this macmini so I'm comparing the speed of screen sharing to RDP on windows7 which was fast (on the same internet connections).
Any suggestions? I connect from both osx and windows machines to this macmini.
I googled for it, and can see a lot of people saying its slow. I saw an alternative vnc named JollysFastVNC being talked about as fast... anyone here use it? Or should i just use logmein free?
