Hi all,

Well now that we are slowly getting into 2010 and all the 2009 DVD's BR are coming out what is going to be your next purchase & pre orders?

Still need to get :

District 9 - Blue Ray
UP - Blue Ray
MJ - This is it - Blue Ray

Pre Order:

Harry Brown - Might get this on DVD
2010 - Blue Ray
Zombie Land
Law Abiding Citizen - Both formats DVD/BR
Family Guy Season 9 - Far away yet :(

same as you

District 9 - Blu Ray
UP - Blu Ray

and the Bourne films.

Waiting 'til they all get cheaper. No point spending £15 on a film when they'll be under £10 in a few months.

£18 for the boxset on Blu Ray. They're excellent in hi def.

This is my list, not all recent films but still want to add to my collection:

Blu Ray:
  • Star Trek
  • District 9
  • Matrix Trilogy
  • Terminator Salvation
  • South Pacific
  • Planet Earth
  • Let The Right One In
  • Pandorum
  • Harry Brown
  • Wall-E
  • Finding Nemo - When it's released on blu
  • Sunshine
  • UP
DVD:
  • Ocean's 13
  • X-Men Wolverine
  • Apocalypse Now
  • Hannibal
  • Silence of the Lambs
  • The Illusionist

I just ordered Terminator 2 Skynet edition on BD. Not much else I'm after atm. There are few old films that really seem to benefit all that much from the BD treatment, and there are alsmost sod all good new films to buy.

Don't know why people are putting UP on their list. I usually love Pixar films but UP is poor. Looks nice, but that's it.

For me I'm looking formward to 2012 and Avatar.

Haven't seen 2012 and hasn't got the best reviews but I'm a sucker for mass destruction and end of the world type films. On that note, where's armageddon damnit!

When these are a bit cheaper...

District 9
All of the Pixar films as and when they get released
Avatar when its released

I just can't justify paying £15-20 for a 1-2 hour film. Just a bit to much for my taste.

Next on BR
Evangelion 1.11
Royal Space Force Wings of Honneamise (DVD/BR 2 disc set*)

I'm also very tempted to pick up Terminator/T2 on Blu as well.

*I've waited years for a decent DVD release (it never had a UK DVD, and the only R1 at a reasonable price was almost a "how not to make a DVD" exorcise), but when this set was originally released couldn't justify it at the RRP (someting like £60), especially as at the time I didn't have a blu-ray player

Black Dynamite :)
My Favourite movie that I have seen this year. Was released on Blu-Ray in the states a few weeks back

To be honest I dont normally buy DVD's anymore, I will however be purchasing the new boxset of Street Hawk season 1 on DVD when it's released later this year :D

I am so going to get that when it's released loved it as a kid, I wonder if they've brought out Airwolf on DVD as well.

On Monday I'm going to get George Romero's new one, Survival of the Dead on DVD.
