has my network port gailed, help ! (360)

guys,

Last night, my internet went down for about ten mins then came back up. Nothing new there as this happens occasionally.

I switched the 360 on this morning to find that i cant connect to live (noted that the 360 clock has reset to 12:00). Ive tried switching cat5 cables with no luck.

I have an old 360 that barely works, so i tried with it and everything works perfectly, connects to live first time, even had a quick online match of BBC2 to make sure.

I cant think of anything else other than when my internet went down it took the 360 network port with it.

any ideas?

gave the rainforest a call as only bought it three months ago. Brand new 360 will be with me tomorrow (sat) and the faulty one is being collected monday morning.

cant really complain with service like that, still a bit unsure how the router dropping connection managed to take out the 360 though..
