5th time in my class I've noticed computers running with the CPU heatsink/fan hanging off, I pointed it out, and the guy is like... it's working.... Honestly it does me in, these people might be getting jobs building computers for people and they admit they'd sell a computer to someone like that because "it's working" !!!

Grinds my gears proper!

Intel chips since the P4 will work without a cooler, but they'll be running at about 5%

Do your ICT Technicians build computers? When I was in charge of a bunch of techs we just ordered Dell Optiplex 330's with 3 year NBD warranty.

Kids love quick release cases and started stealing RAM. Of course because nobody can discipline pupils nothing came of this. We cable-tied them shut!

we found a better solution, just have dire PC's with sdram, nobody would bother stealing

Our class basically had to check the computers out to see if it was all ok and fitted correctly....

I'm in a foundation degree doing computer systems support. I simply clipped the cooler on correctly. Found another one too.
