Supposedly out soon, god this phone looks beastly

Actually changed mind about getting an iphone for this thing, would link to pictures but its been very hush hush =/

It's said to be running Android 3.0 and will be T-Mobile + Sprint releases over that side of the globe. With 4G,Wimax and 32GB of memory it seems to be set for a pretty beefy phone. Oh and a 4.3" screen.

@OP - May I take this opportunity to compliment you on the informative content of your post. And may I take a second opportunity to request the 30 secs of my life wasted reading it, back from you?

Exchange Activesync has been in it for a while now. My HTC Magic running 1.6 has it.

In a less flippant post this time :) There appears to be a bit of confusion out there as to whether the Supersonic is the HD3 but from what I gathered they are different phones with simialar hardware but the HD3 on WM7 and the Supersonic on Android. Footage I have seen on WM7 really doesn't get me wild but I think I will stick with my HD2 for now.

One phone I am still very keen to see though is the SE X10. Has a really nice looking form but what the performance will be like is another story.

Check the last video in the x10 thread, shows the phone to be running lightning quick.

HD3 is a different spec.

HTC HD3 specifications and release date has been leaked in the wild on the Internet. So far, the most-powerful and advanced Windows Mobile device is the HTC HD2, but it will be left far behind with HTC HD3 on the leak!

A Chinese site has got hold of the HTC HD3 specifications from some HTC employees. If you thought Qualcomm’s 1 Ghz Snapdragon CPU is the biggest thing for the year 2010, think again?! HTC HD3 will be powered by the Qualcomm’s 1.5Ghz Snapdragon processor.

HTC HD3 Specifications
Other HTC HD3 specs that have been leaked includes:

■Display: 4.5-inch display (1280 x 800 resolution)
■Processor: Qualcomm’s 1.5Ghz Snapdragon
■Camera: 8 MP camera with Xenon flash, front camera
■Video: HD video recording (720p), 1080p video ready
■Memory: 1GB RAM, 1GB ROM
■Other: HDMI, USB 2.0, 3.5 mm audio jack
■Capacity: 16GB internal memory (microSD card support up to 32GB)
■Connectivity: 4G support, WiMAX, Bluetooth 2.1, WiFi
■Battery: 1800 mAH
■OS: Windows Mobile 7
Considering the rapid improvement in the hardware specs that HTC is using in its devices, the HTC HD3 specs mentioned above look highly possible by the release date given.

HTC HD3 Release Date
The release date that has been included with the leaked specifications sheet of HTC HD3 is for November 2010.

A 4.5" 1280x800 screen? Bit ridiculous on a phone!

I'm tempted by the HD2 (but will probably get the x10) but thw HD3 looks a bit too beastly even for me...

I still think those leaked specs are false.

Mainly because the leaked screenshot has the cpu as 1.5GB, not Ghz.

Also, 1280x800 on a 4.5" screen would not work, and WP7S is currently set to have an upper resolution limit of 800x480.

I also think those HD3 specs as BS, also what is the point of having WiMax as virtually no one has gone with it, certainly afaik all the UK providers have chosen LTE.

As you spent 30 seconds typing this clearly your time is worth jack all. :)

Android 3.0 on the supersonic, woo yeah excitement!

I doubt it will be. It seems unlikely tghat they would jump from 2.1 to 3.0 in the time between launching the Nexus 1 and the launch of the Supersonic which is supposedly due around April.

As for the HD3 specs... they are cleary false as has already been said. The resolution is above the WM7 standard and in all honesty i doubt we will see a 4.5" HTC for quite some time.

I just wish HTC would release a Pre/Pixi like Android phone with the specs of the Nexus 1 / Desire. I really want a physical landscape keyboard whilst retaining a decent size screen. The Pixi would be perfect if the screen was slightly larger & it had better hardware spec. I might end up getting a Pre+ instead of the HTC Desire at this rate.
