How to I decide who to vote for?

Labour a right wing party of idiots. The Conservatives are a right wing party of right people for rich people. The Lib Dems are a right wing part of liars. BNP... do i even need to explain? The Greens are a left wing party who actually care about the country a little.

Uh, what? The three main parties are all close to the centre but only the Tories (and the Conservatives ;) ) are really right wing. Facist.

This. Particularly the Left and Right part!

You should vote for the biggest party that within your personal memory you can't remember doing anything wrong.

After all, they've got to be better than the current lot .. er .. apparently :\

So, under 30 years old? Conservatives. Its not as if last time they were in we had 15% inflation, 15% interest rates, 3 million+ unemployed, and their most ingenious idea .. everyone pays the same tax regardless of how much they earn. Yup, thats right, you pay the same personal tax to the penny as Allan Sugar. What could be fairer eh?

Oh .. wait ..

It seems to be how Labour got in to power. Who would have thought after the state they left the country in 1979 they would get voted back in to power...

The people who predicted what that *shiver* conservative government would do to the country.

I'll try not to get into a debate with you because I know how much of a labour fanboy you are, it is like talking to a brick wall.

But how the hell is EVERYONE paying the SAME amount of tax anything but FAIR? Sure, it might not fit into your ideology of 'wealth distribution' and social security via punishment of the successful but to argue everyone pays the same tax is anything but fair is laughable.

10k tax free allowance and 20%-25% thereafter. As fair as it gets. Not only do higher taxes stifle the economy, by simplifying tax we could save money by the removal of pen pushers in whitehall having to do all the admin.

Turning us around from the sick man of europe? Feel free to actually list the conservative policies that were so evil. I think "Taking away childrens milk" is pretty high up there...

The conservatives no doubt will privatise healthcare, probably education as well. Hell, they might even make being poor a crime.

And it's closed minded, irrational statements like that which is why this country is in danger of having another term of Labour squandering away our money.

Well, the milk thing would probably be behind the destroying of an (indeed several) entire industry/ies, that this country was practically based on and attempting to introduce the poll tax.

Actually, I think that New Labour are just as likely to push ahead with the privatisation of the NHS and Education, Education, Education as the Tories :(

Lib dem, vote for equality. ...
Much less tempting than it seems; the Lib Dems whenever they can actually give any coherent indication of a policy seem to be even more right-wing than even the Tories

By destroying you mean "No longer subsidising as it was unable to compete on it's own"? Or do you honestly think the previous governments policies of keeping propping up failing industries was a good idea? Rather than allow them to fail and be replaced you instead had them kept on longer and longer until the country could no longer afford it so the collapse was even more catastrophic? I am sure the unions had nothing to do with it either..

The sad thing is, I don't even like the Conservatives either, I just think they are the best of a bad lot. What I want from Government is to basically leave me alone and let me get on with my life without taking too much tax and without interfering with things that they have no real business doing.

Well the Conservatives aren't the ones for that, they've said that they will raise taxes if they get in to help us get back on track financially.

The way i see it, either vote for who will make you happy or don't vote at all. When enough people aren't voting then we might be able to see some real change.

Primarily due to Labour mismanagement. I don't really blame them for the banking crisis (though making the FSA the bank regulator wasn't really a smart move) but our precarious financial situation to deal with it is purely their fault. Increasing debt while the economy is booming?

No, I will be voting tactically to remove Labour as I believe their "rush to the bottom" policies are more damaging to the country in the long run. Which means in my current constituency voting Conservative as they have the best chance of unseating the current Labour party shill.

I am seriously considering not voting since I don't like anyone of them.

Then I realise I Am not voting for the PM, but who I want to represent my consituency and to be honest, I have not heard of any one of them either ! So that makes me think what a great job they are doing...

LOL?

Maybe you need to learrn what fascism means before you bandy the word around with no comprehension of what it means (even if you could spell it).
The current goverment's record of state control and intrusive personal dictatorship certainly marks it as a fascist government.

Right or left wing are not definitions of fascism. You have been watching too much Rik in the Young Ones methinks.
