Google Street View of 'whole' of UK Going Live Tomorrow

I've moved house since the google car was in our neck of the woods, but I've noticed the previous occupants of my new place used to have a swingball set in the back garden. Interesting fact for you there OcUKers.

I've shown this to my dad, and he has a fair point I feel.

Down here you get ***** from Liverpool and Birmingham driving down stealing things. Now they can quite easily have a browse around google maps street view and see everything thats easy to steal.

I'm of the opinion that there is nothing (well actually it's less) that can be seen on Google StreetView that can't be seen in real life - and therefore don't have a problem with it.

Thats not the point.. its made easy for them now as they can sit at a pc and note down places that are secluded etc.

I'd imagine they just look at the difference between each picture and see what's moved. probably some complex algorithm for it. You can double click on one in the distance and it moves to face it
