Games are:
Conquest which is flag based like in BF2
Rush which is take 2 objectives and move to the next part of the map to take the next 2 etc.
Squad deathmatch which is killing people 4 v 4 v 4 v 4 and the first squad to 50 kills wins
Squad rush 4 v 4, like rush but small scale and only 2 objectives to take.

Ok so if i join a game am i going to get the usual usa kiddies swearing and kicking off aboiut stuff and people being ultra serious? If you are a total newbie and join a team game i can imagine getting slated for not knowing what you are doing.

If you do stupid stuff, sure.

Example: Get in a helicopter and back flip it into a wall, killing yourself and your 3 passengers, which cripples the team because now they have 1 less vehicle to attack/defend with and also gives your team mates a death for nothing
Or if you drive a tank straight into an enemies base getting it killed and wasting it so your team has nothing to push the front lines with.

If you play generally with some sense like throwing down ammo kits when you're assault, repairing vehicles when you're an engineer and reviving people when you're a medic, then you won't get people being elitist and slating you being a noob, because at least you're doing something to help your team mates, people generally don't bad mouth each other in-game like on MW2 "Lol owned" type stuff.

Great games tonight guys, much more fun when you join vent and hear "ffs how did he kill me" as you see a body fly past you! Only to revive him and hear "oh thx mate".
 
Managed to join a few servers with a mate. When it decided to work for both of us...which is basically 10% of the time, it's epic. Really it is.

Then i got a CTD and lost all my stats...at least that's what "My Stats" page says lol.

Oh well, we'll see what the maintenance brings!
 
Is it me or is the game acting weird at the minute? I knifed a guy and after he respawned and got killed again i got a kill assist, even though i was nowhere near him and couldnt have fired at him. I was on the losing side of a single round of conquest just now and i still got an award for winnning a round, i only entered the server when the second round was 3/4 of the way over.

Just lost connection so thought it fitting to order a pizza before jumping back in, brilliant game on the PC; can't believe there is someone on here who thinks its garbage (!) and the sound is absolutely excellent! try it with some decent headphones. :D

It's OK as a lowbie you'll be killed with many of them as the fact everyone else seems to be near-invincible to your newbie weapons :p

Don't go engineer - half the maps make the class pretty pointless, which is annoying.
 
They really need to fix team switching to avoid all the morons that switch to the winning team, so you go from 16/16 to more like 20/12 and it just ruins the game.
 
Yeah I must say the sound is fantastic. Just got beyerdynamic dt-770 pro headphones last week and this game really does make COD (of which I was a fan of the older series) look aged.
