I been playing solid for a good 2-3 hours and i not any issues with it, i don't mind people spamming like medics with the M60 what does annoy me is people who just sit out of the way with the sniper. You can never see where they killed you from thats more lame than any noob tubers for me.

Big tank you can kill with two rockets then, or one for the apc.

Sometimes you get killed trying to take them out... but then that's to be expected... if no-one bothered trying to take out the tanks, the game would be tank rush all over the frikking place & get very boring very quickly.

But it's fair enough if you aren't good with the engineer class... you play as recon/assault/medic... and i'll stick with engineer... oh, i'll also generally be in the top 3 players too... hehe :P

Ok get off your high horse for a moment please. You make it sound like pushing through an entire offence to shoot a Tank in the side is childs play and frankly your talking ********. IF you get by unnoticed which on a lot of maps isn't possible. IF you don't get spotted by the tanks 'near-player' detection upgrade. IF you don't get owned the moment you fire the first rocket.

I love it Aedus, why exactly should i be fearful of a MEDIC no matter what weapon i use? The M60 trounces everything, but obviously its 'my' fault that every medic and his dog use the M60 that enable them to almost 2 shot people with a huge clip that completely overpowers every other weapon in most circumstances. But yeah, you act pro if it makes you feel better.
 
It's really strange... No matter what, when the game is in DX9 mode, it runs absolutely horrible. Doesn't matter if it's all on low settings. When I use DX10 and put it to low/medium it is playable, although I'm still not happy.

Most sensible people agree medic + M60 is overpowered, this can be seen by the constant spamming, 90% per team sometimes, of medics in a match.

This needs tuning like it or not

To create a true balance I have always thought poorer players should get more and the OMGz SUperZ DuperZplayerZ should get less to prove how good they are,

All multiplayer FPS recently have rewarded on "play time" more than actual skill/tactics IMO, and it creates imbalance in a matter if days,

This atmosphere is created to reward console kids for spending hours of play infront of the TV with a gamepad :( sadly because most of our PC games are now console ports

I've never even played with him, he's trying to call me a noob for using a gun in the game :rolleyes: Like I said it was easy to kill with hence why I stopped using it, but not before getting the platinum star with it, but it's also easy to trump it as well, here's a hint: It starts with AN and ends with 94
In fact lots of things trump the gun, including Shotguns, 40mm grenades and sniper rifles.
 
Well it seems to be going in the right direction, tonight we are approaching our first 12hrs uptime since the game was released



Hopefully most OcUK servers are the same, and its good to see most of you here supporting admins in shouting for team balance etc. Tonight a lot of people have responded to requests to even up.

Shame about more down time tomorrow, enjoy it while it lasts !

I know what you mean, friends would help! still I find the random pug squads ok, sometimes you get some decent players like today we had this guy who was in a different league, I was spotting every target I was trying to shoot but before you know it they were dead and he'd run past, don't know what weapon he was using but it was pretty clinical! (assault)
 
Can I ask what everyone has their FOV set to? I'm going to try get a few games in tonight.

EDIT: Nevermind, I found some calculator thing.

I had a game at lunchtime and stopped as it was mostley kids and the unemployed with super high ranks. Need a server for people who work a full day.

No high-horse... just stating the facts.

Generally you don't have to push through anything, the tanks tend to be the ones leading the way... you can easily see where they're coming from & usually there's something to hide behind. Most people don't seem to use the detection upgrade & if they do... running round the tank is quicker than they can turn the turret using their mouse & quite funny when you're running in circles, reloading, then blowing them up... ok, that's generally the idiots who let that happen to them & that's a good time to get shot by supporting troops.

I'm not saying it's easy, but it's by far my favourite style of play & I happen to be good at it...

I work a fulltime job and do lots of freelance work outside of that and I'm rank 25. That's without actually trying either.

Admittedly, I probably get very little sleep...
