It's not about the company decent or not, but more to do with the warranty is between the company and your friend, not you. So if your card break down and need to rma it, you would need your friend to do it for you.

I still think you'd better off getting a new HD5750 512MB card. If you really can't decide, you can try make another topic like:

"New HD5750 512MB (£89) or 2nd hand 9800GTX 512MB (£80)?"

And see how people response.
