just thought i would share tho some of you will probably start crying over it that i shot me first rat this year just now :).

problem is ive been watchung them walk pass where my kids play and i cant have that i dont bother with rat poisen as it dont work most of the time.

any one else here do it little hunting aswell?.

i cant get out to do it any more as me back has gone bad :(.
 
Yeah, I know the ratcatcher, it's more a small rifle than a pistol even though some places still call it a pistol. It's quite a fun little gun.
 
yes it was going to have no stock on it when the manufacturer made it but they had to put one on by law as it was over the legal power limit for a pistol hence they put a stock on it to make it a rifle.
 
I'd be going for a higher powered underlever rifle, .22 and a decent scope.

Nail them dead, don't let them crawl away to die and make the problem worse. It is a nice feeling killing a rat though, I usually like animals but rats are just major pests.

i normaly do use me higher powerd gun but its not all about power the rat catcher is perfect for shooting rats hence why its called a rat catcher.

its mainly about hitting the right spot with air rifles. then theres no chance it will crawl away ;).
 
Ratcatcher is a good wee gun, quite often the kids use it when they start at my local HFT club.

Not a huge rat fan myself either :)
