Vauxhall Swappage

I have a nackered 1997 Renault Megane and I'm thinking about using the Vauxhall Swappage scheme to get a new Corsa.

Its just worded to make you think its some sort of 'scrappage scheme' deal (See choice of word 'swappage?') but it isnt.

All its doing is making people think they are getting a great deal by knocking £3k off the list price of a Corsa in exchange for your old car. It's a crap deal, you can get £3k off the list price anyway even without your old car.

Which is why, if I was in a horrible accident and took a blow to the head, and decided I needed a Corsa, I would get one that was a few years old for 5k

Get a 2-3 year old Fiesta, Punto etc... if you want a newish small car. It will be practically the same car for about half the price.

Not quite. Try not to be so interested, tell them the price is too high and walk away. I'd be amazed if you didn't have a call within 24 hours and if you don't, find another Vx dealer who will.
