Does anyone know how much roughly it costs to get a £150k house? i know for 10% its 15k but what about the charges and everything else? stamp duty?

Depends completely on who you go with for the mortgage. You can find out about stamp duty at http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/sdlt/rates-thresholds.htm its 1% for a house that would cost £150k.

Think this was covered in a recent thread, but heres a rough list :

Stamp Duty - 1% so £1500 in this case
Solicitor Fees - Budget for £750-£1000
Mortgage Arrangement Fee - Could be from £200-£1000
Survey Fees - £300-£600 depending on age of house, depth of survey etc

I'm bound to have forgotten some as well. Don't forget about all the little things that add up.

I just got my house for £143k

Was SD of £1430
Solicitor £695
M.A.F £250
Survey was £350 I seem to remember but not too certain.

I know the solicitor I used personally and the best tip he gave me is lump everything on the vendor, any searches or anything you want checked out on the house when they still own get them to do it. We saved ourselves some money doing this
