it is booked as 2 litre so cheep to insure for younger driver

Well it's registered with the DVLA as a 2.0, which is 100% correct. It's up to you to decide if you tell the insurers about that little turbo bolted to the engine

I thought we'd ascertained by about the 10th post that the DVLA don't care if you modify the existing engine, be it with an air filter from Halfords or a rebuild from the ground up with the addition of a turbocharger. Insurance, on the other hand..

Dad's 2.0L Zetec (the N/A Ford before the Duratec) in the Westfield is running 250BHP. No turbo/super charger/nitrous. Just lots of £££ on N/A tuning.

If I ever do sell my GTI, I'll drop the "On the Logbook as a 1.6" line towards the end of the ad. As far as I'm concerned it is a selling point, and I am going to be damn sure to take advantage of it.

I'm sorry but you went off on a mini crusade where you stated, as fact, that he hadn't done things he should have when in reality the only thing that wasn't done is you checking your facts.

There is nothing wrong with not knowing what you are talking about, but if you don't, its best you don't start throwing accusations around, do you not think?
