No problem welcome any time. Also if your playing on it a lot you should jump on our vent.

On another note:

We have considered changing the password on vent so any1 who is thinking of joining us might have to add me to steam (thegoon84) if the password does change. We've had a few people coming on raging about being kicked. We dont have to make room for OCUK members, its out of choice we do. Its really starting to annoying the admin now. At the end of the day we pay for the server. We dont want to kick people, but the server is so busy we have no choice to make room for members and OCUK'ers

Been enjoying the TFU server a lot, had some excellent games over the weekend starting to get the hang of hardcore now, or maybe my aim is getting better :p

I owned in the BETA but suck online at the mo, need to calm down a bit and play more objectively. Will have to get myself a headset and proprly join in with some guys :)

Haha I dont think either yet, just unlocked body armour but that didnt seem to do bugger all, had a great 4 kill yesterday, im using the burst shot assault rifle? well snaked up on 2 snipers with that, got them then 2 spawns on them, uhoh, had just unlocked the automatic pistol too, pulled that out :o awesome gun lol dropped them two in seconds :D ..... then got sniped :(

I remember the name but I thought we were on same team at some point..

Yea ive calmed down abit now and actually managed some sniper kills yesterday, got ok with recon in BETA but keep getting owned now as recon though, bit too slow paced for me though, rather have a KD ratio of 5/10 aslong as im in the action!
 
I'm really struggling at this game, die very quickly and without any warning. I'm sure my guns loaded with wet sponges instead of bullets and I possibly have an 100ft tall arrow above my head saying kill me!

Is it because I'm way down at the second rank and have no nice unlocks yet, or don't they make a difference?

I didn't have this problem in BF2, would usually be in the top 3 or here abouts.
 
Any-one else thinking the perks such as Magnum ammo and amour make no difference in hardcore, semi-auto sniper rifles are still 2 shot per kill with magnum ammo, assualt rifles seem the same as well. I'm yet to see what armour does.....
 
Im not convinced the armour does anything in Hardcore either, I know it works in normal mode, shot some dude pretty much about 5m in front, whole clip turns round and kills me, had had the bodyarmour on.

Tbh they dont make that big a difference, I mean obv the better guns have better accuracy etc, but I still find myself sometimes using the standard assault rifle as I find its better at distance.
Just keep at it, does take a while to get into the flow of BC2
 
Does the body armour/ceramic plates make that much of a difference? Seen a lot of people say they empty clips into people like above post? If so when do you unlock?
 
I unlocked the spas last night, got the sabot ammo (accuracy and range with shotgun) with the kit that gives you better accuracy and damage.
Seriously, is this gun for real? it's basically a quake railgun. Point, click, +50 points.

All body armour does is give you an extra 25 health. Most assualt rifles do about 15 damage per round at around 10-15 meters, so you merely need to get in another 2 bodyshots/1 headshot. Not worth it over the other options.
 
Had a cracking few games on the UAV heli last night...
Can anyone get the machine gun to work?
I was told it was RIGHTMOUSE - but doesnt work for me :(
