Disable itunes on windows startup?

So to clarify, now that you have unticked open iTunes when iPod is attached, has it fixed the whole openning iTunes when Windows starts issue?

Your iPod should still appear once plugged in with iTunes open.

Yes unticking the open iTunes when iPod is attached fixes the opening iTunes when windows starts.

But now my ipod is no longer recognised :confused:

Really appreciate any advice on how to get the iPod recognised again without going through reinstall. Thanks thanks

So if you plug the iPod in to the dock with iTunes already started, it doesn't show up?

doesnt show up with iTunes started. Have tried with & without dock but no luck still.

Very odd.

Does it show up as a USB device when plugged in?

I guess you could reset the iPod, bit of a pain if it has lots of music on it, but should solve the issue.

Thank you speed! resetting the ipod has fixed the problem now

didn't even lose any songs.

and thanks also Ratbag Sharepod is much simpler than iTunes.
