Barely any difference whatsoever, dx9 can't use anti aliasing and thats really it. Only difference dx11 has over 10 for example is the shadows are slightly smoother.

My 5870 gets 60fps pretty much locked at those settings, looks awesome....

Console port my ass, I've got the PS3 version too and ain't played it as it looks utter sh*te.

I think my trusty PS3 may be going into retirement :( until GT5 hits!

Thats an easy choice then, hmm, gonna get myself 5850, or 5850, hmmmm.
Could not resist, i am sure you meant 5850 and 5870 :)
 
Go for a 5850 if you just want an upgrade for it. More than fast enough and much cheaper than the 5870.

If you want something that will last a longer consider a 5970, 5850 X-Fire or 5870 X-Fire setup. All are overkill for a single 1080p display, though.
 
5870 runs it fine at full settings 1680x1050 so if i were u i'd get one of those now and a second sometime in the future when games require it or if u go for 3x24" Eyefinity ;)

Look great. what settings you got in the ati ccc ?

Havent changed anything in CCC, that was taken with full settings in the ingame menu. I'm going to try forcing more AA next time i play.
