Guys, this thing seems worse than ever for me. If it's not CTD it's Punkbuster throwing me off and this is after I did an update to validate everything is where it should be. Am I missing something here? Can login, can see servers but seem unable to join any of them for problems?

This happens to me on servers that are nearly full (within 5 players of the maximum). I put it down to some servers using locked slots for admins and stuff.
 
Wow, I finally got around to using the semi-auto sniper rifles to try and get bronze stars and...wow, they suck. Low damage, high recoil, damage drop off is awful so you need to be close and that just sucks when you're up against fully auto weapons, and M60s can still out range you.
 
If i could forward ports I would , but with virgin media they have only given me a dynamic IP which changes all the time , So the ports dont stay open :( .

It was quite funny on vent (think it was you) just a few suicide messages and suddenly a "erm yeah my girlfriend pressed the eject button"

Me and 3 people all get CTD's and lock ups at the exact same time, 2 in the same room, one on the other side of the island and another in denmark.

I doubt it's our hardware, more some bug in the game when a specific event happens.

The magnum ammo now requires a veteran account, and this is my first Battlefield game :/

Is there a way to get Veteran status without having to purchase the older games?

Play the demo of bf2 or bf2142 and register the account.

You need to play a full entire round though.
