MP3 players - To IPOD or not to IPOD

Hi guys,

I have always looked at the IPOD as a bit of a fashion accessory because everyone and his dog seems to have one.

In recent weeks I find myself becoming more and more attracted to them as more than just a flashy music player but a mini pc that can play movies, decent games and have internet access through wifi.

In short are these worth the hefty price tag ? 32gb 3rd gen is the one im looking at which is around the £220 mark.

that seems to be a good price for a touch 32Gb, they are good all rounders however, they are not polished some areas if you know what I mean, for example if you are a vidoe/sound fanatic you may be disappointed with the file formats it supports, need alone the sound and video, they are good at it, but not as good as some of the more specialised PMPs out there such as the samsung P3, cowson etc

you can help the sound by getting better headphones and maybe a amp and using a high bit rate
 
Tbh i think the iphone 3g is ur best bet, get the 02 contract its a great phone and a good price + u get the phone calls + texts unlimited 3g internet and all the apps in the world aswell as the ipod features camera and so on and so on, its a realy neet thing to have these days. seems a bit of a waste of money with the touch in my opinion.

a bit like a dude at college he ad both ipod and ipone and e was a fanboi you couldn't tell him nothing bad about macs even if it was true
