Great way to do severe damage to our economy

Are you having a laugh? How much worse can it get?

The government figures don't represent the true dire straights that this country is in.

We need to reinvest in primary industry and pull out of Europe. (including all the wars we can't afford to fight, we are no longer a super power!)

The problem with appealing to the benefits that immigration brings is that the people that the BNP normally target see very little benefit and see an awful lot of negatives. Overcrowded schools, downward pressure on wages, increased competition for low paid work, pressure on services etc are all likely to hit the lower paid much more.

We have an age heavy population and an unfunded pension system. Without external additions to our workforce, there will be an ever smaller group of workers supporting an ever growing band of claimants...

There are plenty of 2nd and 3rd generation unemployed that we seem happy to pay and support for doing nothing, just seems wrong to me.

I'm sorry, but I feel from my point of view that the word does need to be included. To avoid this for example, where someone will in all likelyhood contest what they see as an incorrect fact.

The way I read your statement, it sounded like you did not believe any ancient group of people could ever be given the title of indigenous brits - and that was taking into account the context or your conversation I interjected. That's all.

Roll back to calling people idiots if you like, but it is your wording after all.

After the second world war we shipped tons of immigrants from the commonwealth into the country to help with the recovery and to fill the jobs that had been left by the number of dead. :confused:
 
@Dolph, don't forget that one of the main reasons our pension funds are in such a mess is because Gordon Brown let companys take a pension holiday, because there was so much money in the coffers at the time.

The fact that people would live longer and that there would be less people paying in wasn't taken into account. It was extremely short sighted.

You can never replace the dead, only carry on without them.

For one thing, i wasn't aware that we had an actual figure and for another, how is this possibly the fault of the government? Given how many of them will be illegal...

How about this Government is to blame as it has admitted that it lets immigrants in to "rub the right wingers noses in it". That is how this Goverment has run this country...

sorry, 165 pages tl;dr, but this argument of british jobs for british workers simply doesn't pass because british employers would be only too happy to employ british people who will do the job. If you have a person who will work and another who simply won't, which would you pick as a manager?
