<3 E55 ++
Be interesting to hear what TomO thinks of it compared to the E39 M5 he had.
Power delivery is similar to the E39, old skool, with all the torque peaking early on and then tailing off. (compared to all the other M cars which loved revs much more than the E39) If anything it likes revs even less than the E39, but makes up for this with 50% more torque!
Auto loses you some driving control, but then handy for boring driving and steering is not great compared to M cars, even E39 M5 recirc ball steering. its just vague, although got used to it now really.Adjustable air suspension is handy, unlike E92 M3 or E60 M5, comfort mode is actually comfortable rather than just bearable, and then sport 1 and 2, equal to normal and sport on M cars, are useful, unlike sport on the M cars which is only really useful on the smoothest of tracks.
No LSD is cack IMO, its not a big deal day to day, but if you are trying to be a hooligan then its annoying and trying to drift is pretty much pointless. senstronic brakes - brake by wire - are annoying, feel never seems quite right and always seem to have to brake a bit harder than you are.
I find the E55 somewhere between the E39 / E60 in terms of tech and styling. Hasn't got all the goodies from the E60, but more than in the E39.
