I've had my Samsung LCD TV for over a year and it's been great so far. I was browsing to look at LED TVs just to find what people thought about them. On every Samsung video I went on I kept reading loads of comments on how rubbish Samsung TVs are. These people (or person with several accounts) were saying they break all the time just after warranty runs out.

It's all to do with a problem called clicking which is a problem some people are getting with there TV's where it keeps clicking and won't switch on. Is this something I should be worried about or is it just one disgruntled customer?

People only post moaning & whinging they never post how good a product is.
I've had my Samsung 40 5 series since December 4th 08 so 15 months now so & I could really do with it lasting as I haven't got another 600 quid for a telly right this minute.

/Same Boat.

I seem to have become a bit of a Samsung fanboy without really trying: Samsung 24inch Monitor, Samsung 40inch TV, Samsung phone. All bought in the last 5 months :)

But really, just ignore comments on YouTube. They are probably the most moronic comments on the whole of the internet, and that really is saying something!

AVforums seem to have an *official* topic for each of the samsung series of tv's. I'd have a look on there and read through the relevant one if you're really unsure. I ended up coming away pleased that i have one of the most sought after revisions of my sammy :D

I have had my sammy 26" in the bedroom for over 4 years now. Not a problem to report with it. Blimey!! its actually 5+ years, its the same 26" that was used to demo the Xbox 360's when they first came out. Excellent TV

We have also got a Samsung LE40B650 which is excellent once setup correctly, really impressed with it.

Interesting.
My Samsung LCD tv (That I'm selling at the moment in the For Sale section - shameless plug) has recently come back from being repaired by Samsung.
It was playing up for a while and then finally gave up the ghost and wouldn't turn on, so I logged a support request via their website. I had to guess the date I purchased (ensuring it was within a year) and within an hour they responded with instructions to call their support line.
Unfortunately I forgot to do this for a couple of months, and by this time I figured it was out of warranty, but was pleasantly surprised when the support line told me that 'Its not a problem'.
They immediately sent through detailed PDF instructions for dismantling the stand along with packaging and delivery information (which was impressive), and then I called to book in with their courier for a collection.
They collected the next day (friday) and I was astonished to get an email on Tuesday stating that my screen was out for delivery and would be with me between 1-2pm. True to their word it was delivered within the time slot.

So that's less than a day turnaround for fixing my (now out of warranty) screen, so I'm very impressed.

:p same here. We have so much samsung stuff in our house!

Two lcd monitors, 46" lcd TV, two mobile phones, microwave, virgin HD box, dvd player.

TV has been running perfectly for 3 years now. Had the dvd player over 8 years now.

The parents bought a 22" Samsung for the bedroom, and that developed the clicking problem in under 9 months. I had no idea it was so widespread.

I've no experience of the bigger sets, the family tend to buy Panasonic for those.

had my samsung for years with no problems, sold it 15 months ago and the new owner has had no problems

Different tech I know, but I've had my Samsung SP50L7HX 50" DLP for nearly 5 years and it's been faultless, and I've only had to replace the lamp once in that time.

samsung plasma 50" inch, blurring of colors now after 6 months and this is the warranty replacement first one just died and they said it could not be fixed. Wont be buying a samsung again anytime soon, our fridge has also had 3 recalls and 2 free engineer visits as was known to cause fires lol.

I'm thinking of getting the Samsung Series 5 550 40 inch tv soon and I think the above comment suggesting that people only post to moan, never to praise is very true.

Dear Samsung haters, my LE40M87BDX is still working fine and it's way out of warranty. How does that make you feel?

Same here. We have the 46" version of that model and it's been running fine for over 3 years, and we bought it from OcUK!.

Its shouldn't be a major problem, just capacitors in the power supply and maybe a reset of the eprom.
