£600, wtf. and people said i was mad when i paid 500 each for 2 280s, or even when i paid 400 each for 2 295s.
Nice to see my 295's havent dropped in price in over a year lmao.

Well there's always going to be one person crazy enough to buy one. Then that's it - they're sold out. Until the next one is released from the factory.

Yeah hehe.
Its being delivered to work tommorow, So ill be installing at about 6pm tommorow night, then my 260's go on ebay
Shall let you all know how this card performs, then again when my 260's are sold and i buy another one;D

Mines in a PCI-e 1.0a slot and it's working.
As far as the cost side of things goes - well, £600 is a lot of money but if you get sufficient enjoyment out of it then what the hell. You can't take it with you!

what is the deal with the graphics card getting longer is getting to be a joke its bout time the started looking at way to make the pcb shorter now it is the future after all and things are getting smaller.

Looking forward to your review! I'm going to attempt a review at mine too! Maybe we can share some notes as I've never reviewed a computer part before! Trying to get pieces together to review my system I guess. I'm going to water my 5970 too!

Ok guys, I bought one a month ago, after a GTX280 and then a GTX295.
I only use iRacing but do use 3 screens, the 295 could not hack it through TH2Go and i had to use vsync and turn the graphics down.
The 5970 is quite simply the best graphics card I've every had. Using 10.3 beta here and everything works well. I'm running 810 and 1100 at the moment, I'm just building a new machine for it to go into with a better case.
My only complaint is the noise, roll on the Artic Cooling aftermarket solution for it.
