Chris Roper, the long time IGN Editor, Executive Editor of PlayStation team, and host of IGN Podcast Beyond who recently reviewed God of War 3 was laid off. He confirmed it via his twitter account.

The news came soon after Garnett Lee losing his job at 1up.

IGN hasn't made any formal accouterment regarding Chris Roper.

Strange info that, Garnett left 1up months ago to work for Gamefly or something, anyway serves him right for giving GOW3 8.5/10 for presentation (not really good luck to him in the future).

Agree with tefal, does anyone even read that crap anymore?
The reviewers seem to have lost their ability to be critical of anything and seem to be more easily amused than the thickest of dogs.
They're one of them wierd elitist clicky bunches..

The IGN podcasts are simply the worst on the planet. All they do is scream and shout at each other. They are a bunch of idiots. So no love lost here.

I like Gamespot and Gametrailers (but the Gametrailers community is a complete joke)
I enjoy the video Reviews and GTTV.
IGN always seems a bit meh to me......a jack of all trades and a master of none

I still look at IGN for news, but disregard their reviews completely.
