ATI Radeon HD 5970 is the king of iPhone, Wi-Fi password cracking

I like how the prat mentions it being a CUDA app that ATI is way faster in then starts fellating nvidia and CUDA.

I tried this out when they ran their original story but it's not the most intuitive software ever. Probably a good thing...

ATI faster in CUDA than nvidia? oh no..... here comes the fan boy war!

On a more serious note i didn't know ati cards could run CUDA is this a case of a poorly written article or can ati cards actually run CUDA apps?

ATI cards are supported with DirectCompute/OpenCL, as said they can't run CUDA.

But it's funny how faster they are when CUDA supporters are shouting how the open standards "aren't ready".

it could be much faster but crashing every 2 minutes - that wouldn't be "ready".

I find the numbers a bit odd tho - that looks more like dual 5970 figures - off the top of my head - than single 5970.
