No, it means that it is likely to be a game in which crossfire currently isnt working.

Not according to this set of BC2 benchmarks where the 5970 has a fairly healthy lead in performance, with Cat 10.2 installed, hence crossfire must be working to some degree.

Maybe it is a genuine increase in performance. Also it's most likely that the 75% figure was derived from very specific conditions, e.g. very high resolutions and AA levels, hence i'd expect most people will see far smaller gains.

My screen still flickers every now and then when running at 120hz. Very bad screen flicker with duel screen enabled. I know that this is easily fixed via profile making. I just thought that this would be sorted by now without using profiles.

edit

I also have another problem now. I now have no picture on my hdtv. I have the the first dvi connected to my monitor and the second connected to my hdtv. Now when extended or duplicating displays nothing comes up on the hdtv. However it seems something is trying to get to the tv as i see the hdtv change brightness slightly when i select an option to enable it (this happens with all sources nornally followed by the picture being output showing within a fraction of a second).
I have tried swapping the connections on the card, this results in the hdtv showing a picture and my monitor showing nothing. The monitor does not go into standby as it is showing it is receiving a signal.
Next thing i tried was uninstalling the drivers and trying the last 2 ati drivers (which definitely worked). This has not solved the problem.
When i try duel screen with my nvidia card both screens work, so i know it isnt a problem with screen or cables.

edit

Fixed the problem. I had to remove the monitor plugged into the nvidia card. Plug the two screens from my ati card into the nvidia card. Deleted the ati drivers. Rebooted. Installed the ati drivers. Rebooted again. Then removed the two monitors plugged into the nvidia card back into the ati card. Everything is working how it should again.
I have since uninstalled the 10.3 drivers, rolled back to 10.2. Then reinstalled 10.3 to see if i can replicate the problem again. It didnt so im unsure what has happened in the first place. Happy now :D

Thanks,

Phil.

Thanks in advance,

Phil.

what is in the 10.2 and 3's that would cause my system to have slow shutdown and bootup ?
10.1's dont have this issue ? any ideas were i could find out ?

I've been having this issue too and hadn't thought to attribute it to the 10.2's until i read this, extremely slow boot up time since installing them.

ah right so its not just me then
i had a massive issue 2 weekends ago, thinking it was my ssd, checked everything, and after new install of win 7 i installed all drivers and after each one i rebooted, and discovered it was 10.2's causing it. 10.1's are ok, so theres something in the mix of .2 and .3 thats causing this
pain in the bottom

Sort of similar for me, did a reformat a couple of weeks ago but was wandering away from the desk during the reboots to do other things so didn't notice right away. It wasn't until the next morning when the PC was turned on again that i noticed and it's been the same since.

10.1's before the reformat and 10.2's after. Waiting for the engineer to come out and fix my cable atm but will try going back to the 10.1's once he leaves and see whether it truly is the issue, would take forever to download them on this crappy 3 dongle.
