BMW found in lock

Was looking at my local news on BBC's site and saw this

I wonder how long it's been there

It's only down the road, maybe I should go and say "oh that's where I parked it"

My money is they cars been used in some sort of serious crime and was ditched in the water when attempting to escape, one of the rear tyres has gone, perhaps that indicates that the car was in a chase, stinger was used and the tyre came off the rim and the police called it off because it got too dangerous.

Can't work out why one rear light is smoked lens and the other isn't (unless it's full of dirty water).

That one didn’t come with the amphibious option, must have been too expensive.

If you look at picture 2 i think thats the black plastic behind the lens, looks like the lens itself has been smashed off.

I wondered that, but there isn't black plastic behind the lens AFAIK.

Have a look at pic 4, it appears reflective

looks like there's a crack in it, probably just full of silt from the riverbed
