I bumped up from the 280 as from what I can see it draws less power (550w vs 600w min psu)
Hopefully I'll see a nice bump in BFBC2 performance from my GTS250.

But I'm actually a fairly frequent user of the badaboom video converter which is what swung me the nvidia way. Prior to my gts250 I'd bought ati for ages.

Actually yeah, I just looked at some benchmarks, loled at myself & swapped the order to a powercolor 5850 for 30 quid less )
As ever, ocuk service good, swapped the order no problem.

Personally I think I would've held off to see what the GTX 400 series cards can do and at what price (since if the £299 rumours are true that'd make the GTX 470 quite an attractive deal). Especially since Nvidia have said themselves they're launching on the 26th/27th (depending on time zone).

5850, nice choice, Asus would have been my pick for the extra fiver, and no fermi won't be worth the wait, stock will be sparse for both models and of course the initial pricing will be extortionate, you won't be missing out much in performance either.
