I'm looking for a new car and my friend is selling his R reg clio for £900. It has just over 20,000 miles, do you guys think i should go for it?

If the mileage checks out, it's in a fairly good condition and the car isn't covered in stick on tat, i'd definitely go for it.

I agree. There is "modding on a budget" (crap alloys, exhaust, induction kit) and then there is proper modding (expensive genuine alloys, superchargers, proper exhausts)

Get hold of the current MOT ticket and use the online system to lookup the details. Gives you mileage, failure items and advisory items. Cracking system.

Did R reg Clios have a 5 digit trip? Could be 120,000 (or even 220,000) with the first digit missing (I had an L Reg Fiesta that went to 0 miles one day )?
