I'm on o2 but I had a text message from Nokia which said I was now able to update my phone to version 40. It hadn't worked until then.
 
Just got mine done on O2 as well! They are pretty bad at rolling out updates.

I like the new call changes and alarm changes. However, I cannot turn the alarm off with the screen! No idea what goes wrong, but it doesnt seem right!

You can change it back to how it was before.

Go to settings> Personnalisation> home screen> Home Screen Theme

Change it to shortcuts or basic. That should remove the clutter from it.

After the other thread about the browser crashing on the 5800, I downloaded and installed opera 10 mobile. So far, so good, not a single crash all night. The browsing experiance is so much better than the stock browser, I don't know why I didn't download it long before now. :o

I done exactly the same thing last night, I did have opera mini installed for a few months but thought it was crap so just stuck to the built in browser then I downloaded opera mobile 10 last night and its awesome.
 
Is there a good list of must-have apps for this phone??? I got some about a month or so back and there wasn't that much as I would have expected. Is game console emulation possible either like with the PSP? it's the 5530 I have, maybe because it's a new O/S?

My joy was short lived, it's now started crashing with opera :( My head fell right off and i've just bought a Hero as a stop gap until my contract is up for renewal in May. It's a shame, as there is a lot i like about the phone, however the bugs are starting to give the hump.

v40 is crap! i flashed my phone to custom firmware and its super :) very stable , better , and faster! with all new apps etc :)
