Jedi Knight Wins Apology

The father of three now plans to sue Jobcentre Plus in Southend for discrimination, despite admitting he took up the 'faith' last year only as an excuse to wear hooded tops.

'I am a Star Wars follower. It means following the way of the Jedi,' he said yesterday. 'The main reason is I want to wear my hood up and I have got a religion which allows me to do that.

What a tool.

A apology via a letter is meaningless

Folder full of templates, i.e, religion, sex, long wait etc.. when you get complaint, just print off template, sign it and send it!..

'I was told by security staff to remove my hood. I was told, not asked. I said, "It's my religion, I'm a Jedi Knight",' said Mr Jarvis, 31.

.... and I'm Miss Piggy. ;)

If he believes in self sacrifice then he should do us all a favour and stop claiming benefits.

As stupid as this seems, he is only doing what followers of other religions do. Sikhs are always banging on about being allowed the carry an offensive weapon around with them.

This is totally ridiculous, Jedis are totally fictional characters whose inventor is still alive today to testify that there is no such thing as a Jedi religion.

This man is NOT a religious adherant he is a film fan plain and simple and should be treated as such.

How is Jedism any different from any other religion?

No he's not. "Jedism" is not a real religion and there is nothing in it which obliges or requires him to wear a hood.

The fact that it's not a religion springs to mind...
