Win 7-64 freeze at 'Welcome' screen

Hi this only started yesterday.

I boot my PC and when it gets to the Welcome screen it freezes and wont load past it. although it will boot in Safe Mode.

I've not installed anything since 5 march and its been running great.

any ideas.

I've tried it with one stick of ram, reset cmos, updated bios, run windows repair from the disk and did a memory test from it too. still no joy.

D'oh

Boot to safe mode and run system configuration (just enter in start menu search) and select diagnostic startup. Reboot and if it starts up ok you can use the system config to gradually reneable services and startup items until you find the culprit.
