Giving up hardcore, just not enjoyable to play. I literally spawned 5 times to get hit by one bullet. Shot at an enemy using the 3rd LMG as medic, getting hit reg with at least 3 shots to the body, they weren't moving at all but looking away from me but they just turned round, two shots, I'm dead. There's something not quite right and I can't take 190 deaths in under a minute as fun playing. Spend more time looking at the stupid loadout screen.

It also doesn't help that hardly anyone plays as a proper squad on the team I'm on and I'm always on a server and opposite team to a few clan players who do work together. Makes everything much harder than it needs to be. I really want to get into it, but not when I'm seeming the only one on the receiving end.
 
the games more trouble than its worth tonight for me, if its not locking up mid game , it failing to connect to ea and when i do get in game my ping must be so bad i carnt kill anyone, i get killed by people i dont see aswell, its got real laggy for me
 
Just had another freeze sound-loop crash resulting in another system reboot. Shame, I thought the new graphics drivers had fixed it, got to play for a lot longer than I had previously.

A thread on the Battlefield forums seem to suggest this is a sound card issue, and I need to disable my onboard sound and install a 3rd party PCI-E soundcard to remedy the problem. Seems a bit extreme but I would quite like some hassle free squad gaming now everyone I know seems to have it on the PC.
 
Just played 2-3 rounds having just installed the game.
Do my guns just do no damage at all? Headshotted a guy with the sniper rifle from maybe 15-20 metres and he turned round and killed me (he was stood still. I definitely didn't miss)

Definitely going to take some getting used to. Seems great fun though, love the destruction xD
 
Ive always found hit detection to be a bit iffy in the BF series of games. Still, im really enjoying BFBC2, was playing MW2 online but BC2 is streets ahead of it.
 
Is there an update on the toggle crouch situation, Have EA/DICE said anything about it. Surely it can't be hard. I must agree with others though, the hit detection is a long way from perfect.

Haven't heard anything about it, though I'd imagine that they'd focus on fixing the bugs that are still in the game before they add more features, that could be buggy.
 
+1 on the toggle crouch, its a must really
The medics m60 seem far to over powered to me, especially from range, last couple of games i played on the tfu server they were prolific, distance shots with that gun, bursts of 2 bullets wreaking havoc on you and i even decided to take some time off as a sniper :(
 
I find it quite funny that the people who complain about sniper rifles and there power in hardcore all tout the M60, well at least most, not a dig but just an observation mind. In my mind they are just as badly unbalanced.
 
Is there no support for BFBC2 with xfire, it detects the game as being installed, and i can see friends playing, however i cant join games or add server ip's manually to my favourites list.
 
I just wish they would swap which classes have ammo and which has the med pack. After the TFU server went down, i played a little hardcore for a laugh and over 50% of the kills on the server was 40mm noob tube. I just couldn't help but laugh at that the normal players on this thread said it takes more skill, but on 4 or the normal servers I tried, even high rank (28+) players I saw used nothing but spraying whole clips and noob tube.

Normaly if i got killed that much I would be a little annoyed, but that was just so funny watching the grenades just fly back and forth, I didn't evne bother with the obj I just sat back and let the kiddies battle it out :D
