Tri-fired 5970+5870 not feeling the love.

I've just run the Heaven benchmark, DX11 and get a score of 91fps. So very happy now.

Must have been a much needed Win 7 re-install.

Oh BTW I was running my games at 640 x 480 as that is my screens max resolution, as some people were suspecting.

:p

I do not believe Ati have actually finished the drivers to handle multi cards in CrossfireX with eyefinity. A 5970 by itselfs works in crossfirex with eyefinity but if you add another card it does not work.

I have a 5970 & a 5870 and if I try running anything in crossfireX without eyefinity then all is hunky dory but if I run the same setup in eyefinity mode I get worse framerates. This is not down to the resolution this is down to ATI not actually testing this features ( which they are pushing the cards towards ) properly.

I was hopeing they would have fixed this in 10.3 as I had my 5870 sitting on my desk waiting for these drivers but it seems they still have not fixed it so I have removed the 5870 again and going to wait for 10.4.

If they dont fix it in 10.4 then they will be getting a nasty email from me about false advertising and how I will send my money nVidia way regardless of how **** nVidia are ;)

EDIT : some figures form benchmarks.

Heaven Deamo : 1920x1200 with 5970+5870 fps : 97.4 score : 2453

BC2 :

5760x1200 5970 fps : 60
5760x1200 5970+5870 fps : 43
1920x1200 5970 fps : 150
1920x1200 5970+5870 fps : 200

These figures are rough figures on my memory of tests over this weekend.
