green hue

just a small problem which i know there is an easy answer, my laptop gave up the ghost and i am now using my desktop which i built last year. my problem is when i play dvds on my desktop i get a green hue over the entire film. i have a ati radeon hd 4800 series and when the dvd starts a sign comes up on my desktop saying powered by spendid which i guess is part of my graphics card. how do i get rid of the green hue. thanks for any replies hope you can make sense of the above

I'm gonna have a guess and say that you've got an Asus monitor?

The splendid is from the monitor itself not the graphics card, you should be able to turn it off in your monitor's settings.

have downloaded the codec pack from the link you gave me, works fine in media player, vlc still has a green hue is there other packs for vlc. thanks in advance
