lol I just noticed, he always used to ask me to go on webcam for video chats because he doesn't like typing and can't spell. He hasn't asked me once since it went missing...

Thanks again, I'll let you know if it works. I can't wait until he sees it on my screen and asks about it, I'll be like oh this guy sent me it when I told him I lost mine, I don't even know him but he helped me out like a true friend. Maybe he'll feel bad at least.

It works fine for me - gave you instructions in an email reply. I'd take a photo to prove it's real etc but it's boxed up - I know I'll take a pic of the box brb.

Lol I can send you a 14" TV with no scart or anything but it'll cost you the postage :p

Ok ill copypasta the instructions here:

I got it working in the end. If you go to Logitech support page then search for V-UAM14A then click win 7 support and download the LVS pack - it doesn't say the name of the webcam on the support list but it works. Install that and when it says plug in webcam click skip and install and it works fine.


Voila.

I'm going to ask my friend tomorrow infront of his girlfriend... so did you get that webcam working that you gave to that girl... I'm sure she will be interested to know what girl and why is he giving her a webcam.

If he says it's from his old computer and yours is a new top end one and his old one just happened to be the same....


Tell him you'll set it up for him if he gives you the model/the webcam.
