Ever felt sad about selling your car?

Wondering if I'll feel any sadness tomorrow when I hand over the keys to the Mondeo - while I dont have an emotional attachment, I've had it longer than any of my previous cars and I've got a lot of good memories with it...

I've never felt this myself. Every time i've been changing.

I have always been moving to one far more suitable for my current needs, so all i have felt is excitement for the new one.

However, i am sad enough to keep pictures of all 4 cars i've had so far :o

As much as I like my cars I can't really say I've ever really been sad when selling them usually because it coincides with being given a big wad of cash and subsequently buying something even better.

Ive never been sad, its only a bit of metal but i must admit when i was selling the subaru people were calling up trying to arrange a veiwing and i was telling them i was busy when i wasnt :p

Should have kept that car

Gutted when I sold my GT3 and handed it over to Spencer the new owner. We met at Andy Fearns place at Silverstone so he could get it inspected, transferred the monies and he dropped me at Milton Keynes station to get train home. I watched him drive off in the car and regretted my decision to sell it.

I'm looking at other cars now but Im not sure after looking at them I can actually go through the step of selling it seriously I love my car if was up to me I would keep it forvever as a run about it is practically mint with about 300 quid it would be show worthly although to be honest you wouldn't see a mk4 fiesta at a show but still

always get sad, being a bit of a petrolhead i have only ever had interesting cars, generally end up running new car aloungside old car for a bit till i can convince myself its ok to sell her.

I felt totally gutted when I sold my Clio 182, I loved that car it was immaculate. It was washed at least once a week, nicely waxed and detailed etc....Sold it to my brother in law who lives directly over the road from me and he is the type that really doesn't give a s*** about cars and boy what a state it's in!!! when I sold him it to make matters worse I had a 6 month wait for the MK2 TT to arrive. I've sold that too after two years and 3500 miles. I'm now looking for something else.

was very sad after selling my DC2, still have moments where i really wish i'd kept it but at the same time i like to move onto something different every few years with cars

I wish I'd have bought that mate if you remember who I am :)

I was a bit sad when I sold my last Corsa for 1100 quid, mainly because it was mega reliable and cost peanuts to run. I really don't think I'll be sad when I sell the Golf, I aint really got attached to it like I thought I might, oh well :D

Yes, I was gutted when I sold both my Defender and the 850R. I'd have either back in a flash.

Out of the 3 cars I've sold on I only miss the MX-5.

Especially on a nice sunny day like today. :(

The ST220 is nice but I do miss being able to just drop the roof and go blasting round country lanes.

I didn't miss it at the time I got rid as I had other things on my mind, but now I'm starting to miss my MR2, it had a lot of things wrong with it but it really was a great car and had a character to it unlike anything else I've owned.
