Aftermarket Cruise Control

Seriously what were you thinking it'd cost? £20 and a drink for the mechanic? tbh id be shocked if it were anywhere near that cheap!

That was a bit uncalled for dont you think?

As I just said, on plenty cars it's a very simple job - so it was a perfectly valid question

Job's a gud un.

I was wondering about retrofitting OEM cruise to a 2007 Cmax - apparently if the wiring loom has the correct bits, it's just a new steering wheel and an ECU flash. If not, it's a whole new loom, which apparently is £££.

Any way of easily checking if the wiring is there to do it?

You'd need to ask your dealer because bodging it aftermarket style will void your warranty.

It wont affect any manufacturers warranty

I've fitted cruise, it's really not that difficult, I paid £150 odd for the parts and fitted it in a few hours on my driveway.

That doesnt help much unless its the same car as I could say i did it for £50, which we did to an omega as all you need is a CC stick (£32 dealers) and activate it (£20 via guy on omega forums)

I can't believe my evo doesn't have cruise control. It's almost as if it wasn't anywhere on the design brief.

Will look into options in earnest.
