Is the new Hendrix album ( valleys of neptune ) any good because i was thinking of getting it. Another question, any ideas to convince my Dad to let me spend my money on a new guitar as he will not let me at the moment even though i have more than enough cash?
 
I dont know as i do not have spotify. Yes i have told him repeatedly its my cash and he just says i got you a guitar 6-7 months ago (Tokai Les paul) and thats his excuse my les paul i really heavy and i am begging him to let m e get a strat also for a different sound as hendrix being my favourite guitarist.
 
it is good album but most of the track have been released presiously albeit maybe in slightly different guises or track name, despite what they say about this being all new etc.

Also hendrix used to play les pauls sometimes, aswel as a few other gibsons etc

As for breaking a £350 Guitar you're crazy dude. I have 1600 and i need 450 for the guitar and my dad wont let me i dont see the problem really.
And sell my LP god no i love that guitar and once again my dad wouldnt let me
 
It's basically just another compilation album with 2-3 previously unheard tracks tacked on to get you interested enough to pay money for it, just like almost every single one of the posthumously released albums.

Save your money and download it, trust me the Hendrix estate has already cashed in more than enough on Jimi's name, you don't need to give them any of yours.
 
How old are you and how long have you been playing? If you're ~13 your Dad's probably right, if you're around 16+ just say your money is yours to spend and buy it anyway.
