I fitted the OE radio back to my Mondeo today - I never realised, it only has preset buttons of "2,3,4"

Weird isnt it. When I was 16 the object of my desires was a Peugeot 306. Seriously.
There were only two cars I craved - an E39 M5 and a Peugeot 306.

Because they give 17-year old lads the raging horn! Giving them the horn means they buy them more than other types of car, and buying them means they crash them more than other types of car!
So all I can conclude from this is that 17-year old lads shouldn't be allowed to get horny.

Don't get an imported fiesta, theres plenty around. Plus get the 1.25 over the 1.3 drives sooo much better. Feels like its going somewhere rather than trying to get somewhere.
Three things:
1) The 1.3 is garbage
2) This shows you why sticking to the stereotypical "first car" is a stupid idea
3) Eeeew
Who the hell imports a fiesta? Anyway, why set a 2k budget then look at cars advertised at 800?

The £2k one will last, may lose money, but not 2k. One at £800 will not last and will cost loads when fixing, especially a 1.3.
What would you estimate the resell value at?
I have been recommended a Ford Focus 1.6 Zetec.

It's a 2 grand car, who honestly cares? It's not worth anything to lose in the first place. Why are you concerned about how many hundreds you might lose in depreciation when you have a budget of £2700 for insurance which once you paid you will never see again?
