Off roading in the midlands?

The people at pay and play sites are generally complete tools, they WANT to get muddy. I'll bet you there was an easy way round that hole.... but where's the fun in that? :p

I had been at the site 10 minutes & told the bloke I was taking it easy as I had only had my Landy 2 weeks. I pottered around & then see the Hole of Death, To my credit there was No hesitation at all & I just dropped in. :D
The bloke said He couldn't wait to see me going for it if that is taking it easy. :D
I had to stand on my seat to get my batty out the water.
Here's another hole of death we found at a different place.

& Here's what happens if your Motor is not up to it. :D

I was stopped by a chap & asked if I could go help his mate out & this is what we found. :p

The more I see these pics, the more tempted I become to hit up eBay for a cheap old Disco :D

Disco 1's rust like nobodys business. If you want something comfy that rusts away, may I present the the Range Rover Classic, with 3.9 EFI :D But stay away from the 2 doors, they're all mine :p

If its a 2nd or 3rd car (I assume it would be for you Howard) Get a Series, you seem confident enough with a spanner to fix anything on them (If can do it.... :p ) 3's will be the newest yet cheapest, most abundant and be easiest to source parts. 2's can take parts from 3's but most have the added bonus of being tax exempt, however they command more for this. 1's are the best ;) But are silly money, the 80 being worth even more than the 86 or 88's :( 90's at <3k will be absolute dogs, owned by those who like to offroad them, but bodge everything when it breaks

Check my flickr for some RTV photos, much clammer than pay and plays, with nicer people imo, and less chance of you getting too muddy / breaking too much

People get slated for buying 4x4s who don't need them, then someone who wants to take theirs off-roading is advised against it on the grounds it's new.

:D

(I get it, I just smile at the whole irony and all :p)

It would be another toy yes  :p And a Series in good working order would cost a lot more than a Disco in good working order ;)

This looks absolutely awsome fun :) ...it's making me want to go out and buy a Cherokee again :p ...or better yet a jacked up Ford Bronco with a 5.0 V8 :D ..and massive tyres ...that way you can get muddy to the sound of a muscle car V8!

Just to clarify I do mean aswell as my car, not instead of.

Cherokee is one I'd probably buy tbh. Can pick one up for about £500. It's so tempting :\ I love off-roading
