Question about the when the Election is meant to be

No, not a contradiction at all. To explain, once again, that one of the reasons for the delay, whether it be genuine, official, non-official or not, is that the cabinet are awaiting for purdah compliance confirmation.

It. Really. Is. That. Simple. That's all I was posting, that's all I was trying to add to this thread. I didn't need to discuss it, and neither did you nor anyone else in this thread.

As for her job; it was raised, as the original request does not come from the secretary, yet the secretary has instructed her to 'ok' it. She has done her bit (Inform the powers that be, i.e. the secretary) but after that it's out of her hands. Yes it is a shambles, and yes everyone (in the department) knows it is.

Yeah I think it's an open secret that it'll be May 6th.

As for why Brown is delaying an official announcement? Until he does, the government can use public money as part of Labour's election campaign.
That is shocking! They should use the little funds they have left. I don't want my taxes being used for their spin.

^Ok, lets leave it at that. Didn't. Mean. To. Upset. Was. Having. Discussion. :p

Would you rather business news not reported on the website?
Asked my GF to give a bit more info last night, and she said they are not allowed to post things like "Minister 'x' visits 'y'" and such during Purdah. :)
