EA considering charging for 'very long game demos'

Seems like people are jumping to hate a little prematurely, as often happens with EA. How do we know they won't refund the cost if you buy the full game? That would be an excellent idea, a couple of times in the past i've bought games only to find i didn't like them after a while, these demos would overcome this issue.

Also, how do we know there won't be free, short demos as we have now that then charge a little amount of money to continue if you want to?

Actually, what you will buy is a full copy of the game which degrades over time, rather than just a limited demo. If you wish to purchase the game you will be able to either pay for an unlock, which will be cheaper than a retail copy or buy a full retail copy.

Sounds rubbish, I imagine they wouldnt release shorter demos initially either, if at all for certain games.

I would take a **** in the wind that after BC2's demo success that a sequel would be tried with this method.
