My laptop is currently falling apart, last week the speaker stopped working!

I have wanted a MBP for quite a while now but I can't bring myself to get one. I was interested in the 13.3" 2.26Ghz MBP, but I wasn't too impressed with the specs - 2GB ram and 160GB(I have a 320GB in this laptop!)..

Will it be a problem with such low specs, I mean performance wise? I'm not sure how OSX handles stuff...and also how good is parallels or bootcamp at allowing you to run windows applications?

Thanks

Parrallels looks pretty good from the stuff on their website and demos of how it works. Im in the same vote, im waiting to see what new comes out as im interested into getting into iPhone/iPod applications development.

Does anyone use Parallels Desktop 5? Is it really as good as it seems to suggest on their website where you can run mac apps and windows apps straight from the dock, side by side?

And do the apps run as well as they do as if you were using Windows 7 which is what I use now on this laptop? I have some windows apps that I use daily at the moment.

Parallels is excellent, we use it at work to test Outlook 2007 HTML emails and IE7/8 websites.

As long as you're not trying to play games through it, it will handle most apps pretty well.

TBH the 13" macbook pros are actually quite good deals at the moment compared to their proper windows rivals (or at least the student prices are, if you are one), however if they stay the same price when they are updated then they should be a bargain.

Thats good, I wouldnt be using it for games, dont play any games on the windows machine I have at the moment.
