Nothing new.

Gaming has always been demonised by the more ignorant sectors of the media and there have always been plenty of gullible know-nothings to lap up the propaganda and get themselves all frothed up over it.
 
Hearing that stupid woman talk completely describes why she needs to go to such great lengths into writing about keeping her sex life active, because any real guy would have most likely punched her in the face and walked out after the first night he spent with her.

Perhaps you want to punch her in the face because your social skills are lacking, due to isolating yourself in your room playing video games?

wanting to do something and not doing it are completely different things.
to punch her in the face because of this cant be blamed on games, only really 'special' people.
 
the one thing that made me giggle was the fact that the CVG guy was so out numbered, it wasn't a fair debate, it's like "oh, hey, lets get someone from a computer mag in and rip him to shreds on his journalistic area infront of a load of closed minded middle aged people"

But yeah, gutter television, at least good ol' aunty beeb is a tad more balanced than this trash.

Perhaps I play video games because I'm isolated and my social skills are lacking anyway.
 
Stupid lynch mob mentality tv, in other words, they cant raise their kids properly so lets blame external stimulus as there's no way in hell my parenting skills blow balls!
Ignore those ratings on the game box, little johnny wants his videogame NOW and ill be damned if im letting him down.....i mean, if he's not playing games i gotta get off my ass and teach him stuff, **** that!!!
 
I would want to punch her too, but I wouldnt, I never hit anyone.

Rather I'd just yell and scream and hurl insults at her if I ever had to experience the pain of discussing anything with her.

My social skills do lack very much with ignorant bigots.
 
I have lots of respect to the gamer for being there and defending gaming admirably. Fair play to the guy :)

As he rightly said, games have age-ratings just like films do, so there is no reason for children to see/play any of these games, therefore it MUST be the parents fault for letting them even play them... really gets me angry.

Even saying all that, I, much like many people here I'm sure, played violent games underage, yet I've managed to turn out alright...
