Which of these 2 pre built systems would be best for gaming on a 22" 1920 x 1080 monitor.

i5 750 @ 4ghz
5870
ocz 600w (or 700w)
antec 902
500gb HDD
4gb 1600mhz dual channel memory

or

i7 930 @ 4ghz
5770
Corsair tx650
antec 902
1tb HDD
6gb 1600mhz triple channel memory

Costs are approx £1020 for i5 and £1100 for the i7. Mostly first person shooters and driving games.

That seems expensive?

I know someone who has an i5 750@4ghz, h50 watercooler for cpu, 5770, 1tb hd, 4gb 1600hz ram, CM Scout case OCZ 600w for a lot less than that!! If your into shooters and driving games then i cant see the point in having anything over the 5770?

As others said the top one definately, and i have also heard the i5 is suppose to perform as well as the i7 when a single gpu is used

Even more reason to get the top one :D

shooters and driving games, not needing anything over a mid range card?

You want the MOST fps in shooters? So surely that means you want the best card you can afford? also, it all depends on res, im sure a 5770 will suck at 2560 res, although this is unlikely to be being used.

Its being used on a 1920x1080 monitor and i the 5770 performs fantastic at this res , 100fps+
