Basically i think i have heard a band and i reckon they will be number 1 one day, where do you go to place this kind of bet . Can you do it online or do you have to go to the bookies?

I suspect you'll have to go into the bookies and ask them to calculate the odds for you, you could try emailing one of the online bookmakers but here I rather think it's going to be simpler and easier to actually talk to someone.

Anywhere. William Hill. Probably not online actually as it'll take a human being to process what you actually want.

but they won't do 'one day they'll get a number 1' as they can never 'win' the bet, you could win in 60 years .. they won't be interested!! You'll have to specify a date. If its too far in the future (>5 years I'd say) they probably won't bother. If your bet is for < £10 they probably won't bother with the hassle. Bookies can be as picky as they want.

Also bands take more specifying than most bets. You'll probably have to say 'with current line-up of members'. Otherwise for all William Hill knows 'Simon Cowell' has just offered you £10,000 for use of the band-name, for the next X-factor winners :\

You'll probably get about 150/1. It'll take 40 minutes and a call to head office to sort out the bet. You'll have to specifc which poll (gallup probably).

generally when people bet on their kids being in the England footy team they get about 150 to 200/1. So your band will get you about the same if they're currently unheard of (and the members are not already famous).

Contact your local bookies and see whether they will be willing to offer you some odd's. Will obviously depend on whether they have heard of the band though.

Yeah you will have to speak with them physically I think - this is because they will have to investigate the band (Listen to their music/Check their background etc.) to decide on the correct odds...

At least that's what I think happens - I only know one person who's done this before...

Do you only ever tip odds-on horses :p

You'll have to enquire about it, but it'll take a while before they get back to you about it.

It won like I said and no I tipped imperial commander 4 weeks before chelt (it was at 12/1 took the price ofc and had £50 e.w :D)and then the day before in the pub i told my mates that i wouldnt be surprised if kuato would fall :) allthough i did have a little info i shouldnt have had about imperial commander :) Tonight i wouldnt personally be having a bet on it just yet im gonna save my money untill its slightley fitter but Solarias Quest 18:20 Kempton is a decent horse and its 13/1 :)
