Hi all, recently i've been looking into a new computer to replace my old laptop. I don't know loads about todays technlolgy so would like some advice on parts to purchase. Will need all parts plus monitor (No larger than 22"), mouse and keyboard.

General uses are for AVCHD video editing, mostly Sony Vegas and After Effects as well as gaming.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Have a look at this I've spec'd up! Elegance, beauty and speed! ;)

well ive had a shot for you, tried to keep it balanced, slightly over budget but with that youve got a great SSD which will help in loading times and more importantly video editing. also youre getting 2 free games, and of course added an OS which you may already have. but you could chop off some of the price by changing the corsair package, well here it goes...

Yes it's not that much cheaper, not worth making a separate order for anyway! There's been times in the past where I've paid premium just to get all my bits from Ocuk. You can't put a price on quality service and prompt delivery.

This might sound like a silly question but; within each component, are all screws and cables included? Anything other than above need purchasing?

You'll get a bag of screws with the case, which will fit things like hard drives, cd drives, mobo and graphics card. You'll get a screws and mounting plate with the cooler. The mobo will come with sata cables for your HD and dvd drive.

The powersupply will come with all the cables as mentioned in the spec for it.

Even if ocuk is slightly more expensive, in my experiance their customer support and delivary service is 2nd to none.

I dont even bother shoping around anymore as i know all ocuk prices are competitive and even if they are a little more expensive its worth it for peace of mind i think esspecily when you gonna be paying so much for a new comp.

They even help you and give you advice how to install the hardware if you need it.

But maybe i am just a ocuk fan boy.
