So I've been waiting till April to see the price of this phone and to see its effect on the hero.
After reading the 'pocket-lint' review of the phone I noticed a link at the bottom to 'dial-a-phone' who are offering a range of £25 pound a month contracts

http://www.dialaphone.co.uk/aw1/phone/HTC_Legend/search.aspx?product=HTC_Legend

so I was hoping to get a £25 pound contract and here it is.
but the legend isn't out yet?

could someone look over this deal for me please...It's legit ?
There is no mention of internet prices/usage caps until further down the page where they offer a deal for £30 with unlimited internet

Anyway ,I'm confused and know very little about phones so was hoping someone could assist me
thanks

Well, the website says it is a preorder for April 8th so there's nothing funny going on there. There is a major phone site that has a sim free version available in 9 days.

All Dialaphone are doing is buying a sim free phone, and selling it as a package deal with the contract. Also they've been around for a few years now so they're a known quantity.

EDIT: Also, mobilephonesdirect are offering the technically superior Desire for £25 per month, 600 min, 500 txt, internet, 2 year contract, £5.99 to buy the phone. This looks like a superior deal to the one you posted.

oh wow. Thanks osc89er. I never even looked at the desire because I thought it would be out of my price range. I was hoping to stick with vodafone because i've been told that living in cornwall its good to "find a network that works and stick with it". I've checked on the t-mobile site though, I'm right on the edge of a section of no coverage but apparently getting 'very good coverage'. maybe its worth the risk

They offer it on tmobile and vodafone at mobilephonesdirect just click on the HTC desire and have a look.

It looks like only tmobile do the £25 a month deal though? anything more than 25 is over my budget, but I don't mind paying the 5 pounds for the handset and then £25 a month

I think you have two options for testing the coverage. get the phone and return it if its crap.

or get a payg sim to test with.

obviously if you go with the former then check the terms and conditions will allow it. in theory the dsa may cover you for 7 days.
