What a great word which incidentally has nothing to with itchy genitalia! It means Survivors which is very apt here at work over the last few years!

Got any good latin words and phrases?

I was always a fan of Carpe diem quam minime credula postero

"Seize the day, trusting as little as possible in the future"

And the related Momento mori.

"remember that you are mortal"

Te futueo et caballum tuum
Screw you and the horse you rode in on

Te odeo, interfice te cochleare
I hate you. Kill yourself with a spoon.

My particular faves:

Caesar si viveret, ad remum dareris
If Caesar were alive, you'd be chained to an oar.

Recedite, plebes! Gero rem imperialem!
Stand aside plebeians! I am on imperial business

"Catapultam habeo. Nisi pecuniam omnem mihi dabris, ad caput tuum saxum immane mittam."
- I have a catapult. Unless you give me all of your money, I will fling an enormous rock at your head.

"Te audire no possum. Musa sapientum fixa est in aure."
- I can't hear you. I have a banana in my ear.

"Age. Fac ut gaudeam."
- Go ahead. Make my day.

"Utinam logica falsa tuam philosophiam totam suffodiant!"
- May faulty logic undermine your entire philosophy!

"Vescere bracis meis"
- Eat my shorts

etc..etc..etc..

I took a line from Mozart's Requiem as my Xbox Live motto - nil inultum remanebit - which roughly translates as "nothing shall remain unavenged", i.e. if you kill me, I shall hunt your ass until my dying days... :D

I've always rather liked a phrase that most people will know caveat emptor, not only is it sound advice but it's succinct as well.

Continuing the theme of legal Latin, which for obvious reasons is most familiar to me. Prima facie - on the face of it, quid pro quo - consideration (or give something to get something) and res ipsa loquitur - facts which speak for themselves.
